ISSA KAWALIT
Issa Kawalit is a Consultant Renal Physician who graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center (USA) and received his American Board of Nephrology in 2002.He returned back to Jordan where he established his private practice and co-founded the Arab Renal Care Group. Dr Kawalit served as the president of the International Renal Care Association (2018-2020) and a distinguished member at several professional scientific organizations and journal editorial boards, and has numerous contributions include published patents, manuscripts, and presentations at many international conferences. He has received several awards including the Young Nephrology Research Award from the International Society of Nephrology.His groundbreaking work was in establishing educational programs designed to provide comprehensive public health strategies for promoting kidney health. These strategies seek to prevent and control risk factors for chronic kidney disease, to raise awareness, to promote early diagnosis, and to improve outcomes and quality of life for those living with kidney disease. He started the school health awareness day were he will target student, teachers and parents to educate them about how to stay healthy.
